John Nielsen is a new instructor this year!  He's dabbled in woodworking and whittling since he was in Cub Scouts. He took his first carving class in 2015 and caught the carving bug. He's tried several methods of carving, to include relief carving, life size busts, walking sticks, cottonwood bark, flat plane and caricature carvings. Now that he's retired, he spends time with his wife traveling, carving, taking classes, and working on UFO’s and PHD’s.
