SUPPLIES NEEDED: Chip carving knife (I usually teach with a Flexcut KN-13 knife, but any chip carving blade will work)

Whether you're a seasoned carver or just starting your creative journey, this workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of chip carving and embroidery, and show you how to blend them into stunning, dimensional designs.
What You’ll Learn:
Basic Chip Carving Cuts: Master essential techniques like the triangle cut, line cut, and curved cut to create intricate patterns in wood.
Project Board Preparation: Learn how to safely and accurately drill your board to accommodate embroidery stitches.
Embroidery Essentials: Explore foundational stitches such as the backstitch, satin stitch, and French knot to bring texture and color to your carved designs.
What You’ll Create:
By the end of the class, you’ll complete a unique project that combines the crisp geometry of chip carving with the softness and vibrancy of embroidery—perfect for wall art, gifts, or inspiration for future creations.
